This lovely little piece was commissioned not long after the release of the first Iron Man movie, based off the Mark 1 “cave version” later put into the “Tony Stark Has a Heart” display case by Pepper Potts. A couple of years after that original commission it was made available in a kit form, which could be assembled and worn on the chest as a costume piece, then popped out and placed in a display case just like the one gifted by Pepper.
