Fairground Prize started as a digital doodle that grew into a 48” tall oil painting. The original doodle (pictured below) was reworked into a monochromatic digital painting that would then be printed out and mounted to a board to serve as an under-painting. The mounted print was washed over with layers of bright neon pink acrylic before the subject was pulled out of the wash with oil paints.
